DAIRY PRODUCE.
THE COMING SEASON’S PROSPECTS.
In the opinion of a representative of an important London produce firm operating in Taranaki, cheese will be more profitable than butter next season. The outlook for both wae just now brighter than it'had been for some time, and he had little doubt but that the price for the new season’s make. would be such as to enable factories to pay out to suppliers at leust 2s per lb of butterfat. . This is better than some factory directors had contemplated, but our informant said there was never any warrant for the pessimistic views regarding the price for the new season’s make held in some quarters.
