STRATFORD TOURNAMENT. The lights taking place at Stratford tonight promise to be amongst the best ever staged In Taranaki, .both in regard tG amateurs and professionals. The writer has watched both mon in action during training operations. and cannot pick a winner. Facoorey has Improved a hundred per cent, since he last fought here, and his sparring partners have had a bad time, two taking tho count last night. Lane, who comes with the.best recommendations of W. F. Corbett, of tho Sydney Referee, la a fast and clever fighter, and lias sixteen knock outs to his credit out of twen-ty-seven fights. The amateur# are the best procurable in Taranaki, and should be a draw on their own. Rowson, the Taranaki welter champion, is going to give Clarry tlw fight of his life. .Sharrock, tte conqueror of Coombes, will make. Lind go all the way; also will Skoglund make Winlkl's star pupil fight from start to finish. Sullivan, the fly-weight, and Collins, are boys who can beat any of their weight la Tara, nalii.
