SIR ROSS SMITH ADVISING. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Cc-pyrUht. London, July 7. Mr Massey, at the conference, criticising the wireless telephone proposals, complained that it waa impossible to apeak in code. Mr. Lloyd George, leaning towards Mr. Hughes, interrupted: “We could speak Welsh.” Sir Ross Smith, who is advising Mr. Hughes on air service proposals, is of opinion that the journey from London to Perth, via the Cape, would take under ten days —two to Cairo, three to the Cape, three across the Indian Ocean, and two half days for refitting.
