At the luncheon given to the overseas Prime Ministers by the Empire Exhibixion Committee a large number of business mtn were present. ! Mr. W. F. Massey eaid that such an exhibition as proposed at the »-nd 'of the reconstruction period was worthy !of the support of every part of the Empire to show what the countries of the Empire were capable of. When he said countries of the Empire he included also the 43 Crown colonies and dependencies, whlich, comparatively Boon, would be endowed with the dignities of Dominions It was urgently necessary that the, Empire should ehow, not only to the Teßt of the world, but to its own manufacturers, what it could do and what its resources were. New Zealand would do what it never failed to do—namely, its . duty. He took the op, portunity of again referring to the necessity for faster shipping, lower cable rates and reduced, freights.—Special to Press Association.
