PUBLIC NOTICES. NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. footballTaiatch. SOUTH AFRICA v. TARANAKI, AT NEW PLYMOUTH, SATURDAY, JULY 16, 1921. 'J’HE following train arrangements will be made in connection with the above: Waitara Branch.—The usual 11.50 a.m. train Waitara to Lepperton Junction and the 12.30 p.m. train Lepperton Junction to Waitara will NOT run.

Special passenger train will leave Waitara 11.15 a.m. (connecting at Lepperton with special train Stratford to New Plymouth). The u®ual 4.15 p.m. train will be delayed to leave Waitara 5.15 p.m. (connecting with 5.15 p.m. special New Plymouth to Stratford). The usual 5.3 p.m. train will .be delayed to leave Lepperton Junction 5.46 p.m. Special train will leave Waitara 6.10 p.m. (connecting at Lepperton with 6 p.m. train New Plymouth to Hawera). Special train for Waitara will leave Lepperton Junction 6.40 p.m. New Plymouth—Hawera.—The usual 11.50 a.m. train New Plymouth to Wanganui will NOT run between New Plymouth and Hawera. The usual 7.25 a.m. train Wanganui to New Plymouth will not run between Hawera and New Plymouth.

The usual 4.20 p.m. train New Plymouth to Hawera will be delayed to leave New Plymouth 6 p.m., Lepperton Junction 6.38, Hawera arrive 9.30 p.m. Special passenger train, stopping where required, will leave Stratford 10.5 a.m., New Plymouth arrive 11.40 a.m.

Special passenger train will leave Stratford 10.55 a.m., Lepperton Junction 11.50 a.m., New Plymouth arrive 12.15 p.m. Special passenger train will leave New Plymouth 4.35 p.m., Hawera arrive 7.10 p.m. This train will stop to set down passengers for Ngaere and south thereof only. Special passenger train will leave New Plymouth 4.55 p.m., Stratford arrive 6.30 p.m. This train will take passengers for Stratford and Toko Branch only. Special passenger train, stopping where required, will leave New Plymouth 5.15 p.m., Lepperton Junction 5.45 (Connecting with train to Waitara), Stratford arrive 7.20 p.m. HOLIDAY EXCURSION TICKETS.

Tickets at Holiday Excursion Fares will be issued to New Plymouth from Hawera and intermediate stations ar.d from stations on the Toko Branch by morning trains on July 16, available up to July 18, 1921, inclusive. These Holiday Excursion Tickets will not be available by Down Mail Train on July 18. For further particulars see handbills. BY ORDER.

NEW PLYMOUTH HIGH SCHOOLS BOARD. ELECTION OF TWO MEMBERS BY PARENTS OF PUPILS. of Candidates will be received by the Returning Officer until noon on 13th July, 1921. The election will be held on July 23rd, 1921, and the poll will close at 5 p.m. Every Candidate shall be nominated in writing by one or more Parents entitled to vote for his election. Each such parent may nominate any number of candidates not exceeding the number to be elected.

“Parent” means the parent or guardian having the actual custody or control of a pupil of the schools. It means the father, if so qualified; if not, then the mother, being so qualified; or, if neither be so qualified, then the actual guardian of the pupil; but does not in any way include both the father and the mother of a pupil, nor include either of the parents and the guardian. Nomination papers can be obtained from the undersigned.
