It has three up-to-date freezing works—at Gisborne, Tokomaru Bay, and Hick’s Bay. Its business is mainly concerned with the killing and freezing of meat, and it operates on clients’ account only. The £300,000 Mortgage Debenture Issue is secured by first mortgage of property and plant valued at £615,263.
