SUPREME COURT.
COUNTY CLERK SENTENCED, By Telegraph.— Press Association. Wellington, July 5. In the Supreme Court to-day, George William Cobb, county clerk at Featherston, for embezzling county money, was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment. "You have,” said the Judge, “been systematically thieving for the past deven years, and have a'bused your trust. Under the circumstances I have no alternative but to impose a sentence of imprisonment.
