The Times’ Paris correspondent reports that the Basque Industrielle de chine, established in 1913 with the object of developing French trade in China and the Far East, has suspended payment. The news has created the most disquieting impression owing to its coinciding with the re-opening to-morrow of activities in China by the huge German Deutsche Asiatische Bank. It is feared it will result in immese ramifications and that the failure will involve ♦there.-—Times Service.
