The Dannevirke Hunt 'Club's annual meeting was held in fine weather and before a good attendance to-day. The course was good. The totalisator receipts were £13,552. Lady Jelllcoe was present. Results: — HUNT CLUB HURDLES. One m.'le and a talf.—Coolpan (S. Walls) 1, Whetoki 2, Tornea 3. Also started: Sir Alba, Silta, Stronvar. Silta fell. Won by ten lengths. No time was taken. MAIDEN HACK. Five furlongs.—Lord Desimond (C. Stratton) 1, Walmahoe 2, Projector 3. Also started: Demoness, Absurdity, Rbwan, Ullocene, Carols, Actor, Darky Tom, Morzonia, Potomea, Kiaoraform, Haudena. The Auckland Trotting Club's winter meeting concluded to-day in fine weather and before a large attendance. The course was heavy.
