Delhi, June 27. A railway accident occurred to a train from Moradabam to Delhi as it was crossing a bridge, which collapsed and precipitated the train- into the flooded river. Fifty passengers are missing and probably drowned. The back carriages escaped. HOUSE OF LORDS REFORM. London, June 27Mr. Chamberlain, in the House of Commons, said it was impossible this session to introduce legislation providing for the reconstruction of the House of Lords. The Government hoped to submit proposals early next session. AMERICAN PROHIBITION HYSTERIA New York, June 27. Mr. D. Van Burin has announced his resignation as chief counsel for the Federation of Prohibition Commission. Interviewed, he said the country was drifting towards prohibition anarchy, and unless calm, sane, judgment displaced the popular excitement and hysteria, all respect would be Jost for the Volstead Enforcement Law, which carried things to extremes. $ GERMANS BUYING GOLD. Berlin, June 27. The Reiehbank till July 3 is exchanging German and foreign gold, offering 300 paper marks for a 20 mark gold piece, and 42,500 paper marks for a kilogram of fine gold.
