HAWKE’S BAY’S CONFIDENCE IN ITS FUTURE. > Everybody knows that the Hawke’s Bay district has been “hit hard” financially, possibly more so than any other part of the Dominion, owing to the energies of its people being devoted almost entirely to the production of wool and meat, which have fallen so low in the market. Nevertheless, it is interesting to learn that in connection with the Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co-op. Association, Ltd.’s, 8 per cent. Bond Issue, more than half the amount applied for to date comes from residents of Hawke’s Bay. This is a splendid indication of the confidence of the Hawke’s Bay people in their own Co-operative Association, and also in the prosperous future of that rich territory. The Bonds being rapidly taken up, applications coming from all over the Dominion—as far North as Hamilton and Waihi. and as far South as Dunp din.
Those who contemplate investing i»» these splendid 8 per cent. Bonds should lose no time in sending in their applications. There can be no doubt that it will not be very long before the whole Issue offered to the public will be taken up. The fact that so many people who are in close touch with the Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co-op. Assn., Ltd., are placing ' their money at its disposal is sufficient assurance of the soundness of the concern, whilst the high rate of interest makes the Bonds a most attractive investment. The Bonds are in denominations of £25. £5O and £lOO, for a currency of 5 or 10 years.
