MINISTERS CHANGE PULPITS. By Telegraph— Press Association, Nelson, I.ast Night. An interchange of pulpits yesterday between the Anglican and non-Episcopal Churches created a most favorable impression. The changes were: Rev. H. L. Blamires (Methodist) at tho Cathedral; Bishop Sadlier at the Presbyterian Church the: Dean of Nelson (Dr. Weeks) at the Baptist Church; Rev. Laird (Baptist) at All Saints; Rev. Bring Rowe (Anglican) nt the Methodist Church; Rev. Rogers (Anglican) nt the Congregational Church; Mr. Vercoe (Congregational) at Stoke (Angkean). Tho subject dealt with was mainly Christian brotherhood. EX-SOLDIERS’ LAND BALLOT. Gisborne, Last Night. A ballot in the Wharekahus soldiers’ settlement, better known as Reeves’ estate, Tolaga Bay; was held to-day for fourteen sections. The successful applicants all reside in Poverty Bay except two—number 8, drawn by W. C. Simmons (Hastings), and number 9, drawn by Garry Owen (Hastings).
