ALIENS IN AMERICA.
INCREASE OF JAPANESE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright Received June 26, 11.5 p.m. Washington, June 25. The Census Bureau announces that there are 111,025 Japanese and 61,686 Chinese in the United States. The Japanese exceed by far the rate of growth during the last decade shown by any other race, particularly on the Pacific 1 coast, where the increase is 53.9 per cent. California absorbed 30,596 out of a total growth of 38/868 during this period. There are 71,952 Japanese now in Cali-fornia.—AUB.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
