OVERCOMING CANCER.
HOPE IN A NEW INVENTION. PAINLESS CURE CLAIMED. By Telegraph.— Press Assn —Copyright. Received June 25, 5.5 p.m. London, June 25. That it is possible to cure at least eighty per cent, of the cases of cancer is the remarkable claim of the authorities at the West of London Hospital for a new X-ray apparatus recently installed. It is the invention of a Bavarian radiologist, and it employs rays of a wave length hitherto unattained. The statement has aroused the greatest interest among medical men and a special demonstration is being held to-day. The hospital authorities are enthusiastic and consider that surgery treatment will soon be out of date. The new treatment is painless and the patient is able to read, smoke or converse. The Times* medical man comments that as the work is only in its experimental stage it is too early to dogmatize, but developments will be watched with hope and interest.—Times Service.
