WEDDING.
GANE—ANSTIS. A wedding of local interest was solemnised at St. Paul’s Church. Nonnanby, on June 8, when Miss Hilda Anstis was married to Mr. Nelson Hector, youngest son of the late Mr. and Mrs.. G. Gane. The Rev. Franklin officiated, and Miss Sowerby presided at the organ. The church had been prettily decorated by the girl friends of the bride. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of cream crepe de chine and overdress of georgette. She wore a handsomely embroidered veil and orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums, cyclamen, and maindenhair fern. -She was attended by her sister, Miss Edith Anstis, who wore a dress of powder-blue crepe de chine embroidered, and a black tagel hat. Mr. Dean acted as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at “Thornfields,” the residence of the bride’s parents. Later on Mr. and Mrs. Gane left on their wedding tour, the bride travelling in a wedgewood blue costume and grey velvet hat.—Star.
