A NARROW ESCAPE FROM DEATH.
Madly along the busy thoroughfare (lastthe runaway horses, with distended nostrils showing red, and foam-flecked mouths. Terrified sereauns are heard above the hum of traffic,, for in the path of the galloping hoofs a tiny child stumbles! Groans arise from agonised spectators, when from out the crowd darts a man straight for tl?g reins. The horses swerve, and are brought to a standstill in the nick of time.
