ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES. ■' A mOR FATALITY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dannevirke, June 20. At the inquest concerning the death of Wm. Alexander Beatty, a farmer of Te Rehunga, who was killed in a motor accident on June 7, the coroner found that death was due to a fracture of the spine owing to his car capsizing off the road, there being no evidence to show ■whether a lightless car which was in. the vicinity had contributed to the accident. FATAL MOTOR ACCIDENT. Otaki, June 21. Miss Joplin, the victim of the motorcar accident in Otaki Gorge on Sunday, died to-day without regaining consciousness. DEATH FROM HEART FAILURE. Invercargill, June 21. At the inquest on John Robert Thompson, chemist, of Wyndham, who was found dead in bed, medical evidence was I*o the effect that deceased died from heart failure through, excessive taking of alcohol and drugs. The verdict was in accordance with this evidence. YOUNG WOMAN’S DEATH. Auckland, June 21. The dead body found on the beach at Birkenhead on Tuesday has been identified as that of Myrtle Underhill Ingles. She formerly lived with her parents at Thames and later at Hamilton, where she had resided with her mother since her father’s death. Deceased was aged 28. She was single and came to Auckland on a holiday.
