DAIRY STOCK.
SALE OF JERSEY HEIFERS. As good a yarding of grade Jersey heifers as has been seen in Taranaki was penned at River yards yesterday, when a sale was conducted by Newton King, Ltd., on behalf of various vendors. There was a good attendance of buyers, competition being mostly local, though there were several bidders from South Taranaki. Prices were very good, as high as £23 being reached for the heifers, and generally ranged between £l2 and £2O. The heifers sold on behalf of Air. Wells made up to £23, and the average for the lot of 60 was £l5 ss, and Air. Cross’ yarding brought from £l4 to £22.
