Briand (French Premier) and Lord Curzon (British Foreign Secretary) fully discussed during the week-end the position in the Near East and agreed to submit a Note to Greece demanding desistance of the projected offensive in Asia Minor and so enable France, Britain itnd Italy to mediate. It was decided that Smyrna be given to Turkey. Eastern Thrace will probably be granted autonomy, Turkish rights being guaranteed. Italy concurs.
