A GIRL DROWNED.
FATALITY IN AUCKLAND BATHS. By Telegraph - -Press Association. Auckland, La-at Night. A girl named Jane Faithful, aged seven years, was drowned in the Hobson Street Tepid Baths yesterday afternoon. She was swimming in the water with the aid of a pair of water-wings, and it is thought her feet became entangled, causing her head and shoulders to sink. A little later Mrs. Smith, one of the attendants, noticed her and immediately reached out from the edge of the baths and pulled her out. Ready assistance wafi given, but all efforts at resuscitation proved ineffectual.
