On Wednesday last titere was a very fair yarding of stock at the Inglewood ya*Prts of Newton King, ' Ltd., dairy cattle and sheep being specially in evidence, and as nearly everything was sold, at prjees slightly in advance of those lately ruling, it may be concluded that a firmer tone prevails as well as that dairy men, at any rate, have confidence in the prospects of* their especial branch of industry for the coming season. Springing heifers realised from £7 15s to £l3 15s, cows from’ £8 to £l4, cow (newly calved) £l5, heifer in milk £9, Jersey bull £5, heifto calves from 20s to 545, steers 18s 6d to 32s 6d, lambs 8s Sd to 13s 3d, wethers 12s to 21s 3d, store ewes 13s 9d and culls Bs.
