The final result is not known, except in South Wales, where its rejection was carried; there were 32,036 votes for acceptance and 78,169 against. The return* from other districts are incomplete. , Owing to the coal shortage Singers Sewing Machine Company has given notice to 10,000 employees and will close down the works indefinitely on June 24.
