HATRED IN POLITICS.

SPIRIT OF GREED DOMINANT. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, June 16. Mr. Lloyd George, addressing the General Assembly of the Welsh Presbytery at Port Madoc, said that Nonconformity had never been so politically divided as to-day. A vast number had joined the Coalition, while Labor also claimed a very powerful and influential following. Great wisdom was required to save Nonconformity from disaster in the bitter strife. He was sometime* appalled at the personal hatred men were capable of in politics. Personally he was in favor of the League of Nations, but there wa* a danger that, unless something was done to instruct public opinion, the League might become the breeding ground of intrigues and feuds. He was disappointed to find that, despite the great war, the spirit of national greed and hatred wa* dominant as ever.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
