LIBERAL INTEREST. FOR INVESTORS. The average investor has naturally come to expect a larger rate of interest than that which prevailed a few years ago. He says to himself, Why be content with 4 or 4A per cent, if 1 can secure 6,7, or S per cent ? A safe investment, that returns 8 per cent, per annum is the Bond Issue of the Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co-op. Association, £75,000 of which is being offered to the public. The Bonds have a guaranteed minimum currency of five years, so should the general rate of interest “slump” within a year or two, the holder of Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Bonds will continue to draw 8 per cent, per annum for a period of five years. This is a most important point, for it means that under those conditions the Bonds would be saleable at a premium. Then there is the matter of convenience. The Bonds are in three denominations— £25, £5O, £lOO. They are simple to buy, and can be exchanged or sold without, troublesome, formality. The interest coupons may be cashed halfyearly at the Union Bank of Australia, or* at the head oiuce or any branch of the Association. The Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co-op. has been established 30 years. Bondholders rank in priority to shareholders. The security supporting the Bond Issue amounts to £329,987. The Association has a reserve fund of £71,772. The head office is in Napier. The Association invites full investigation from intending investors. The Board of Directors comprises: Major-General Sir Andrew Russell, K.C.8., K.C.M.G. (chairman), Messrs. E. C. Clarkson, W. A. X. Couper, H. Gascoyne, W. H. Guthrie Smith, J. W. Harding, R. D. D. McLean, Arch. McLean, L. McKay, and R. IT. Tod. Read full particulars of the Association, and of this splendid investment, in the prospectus, which may be obtained from any branch of the Union Bank of Australia, Ltd., or any member of the Stock Exchange, or from the Head Office of the Naoier.
