The Installation of extra lockor accommodation was also carried out, and new mats aud kittys were purchased. Owing to the increase of the membership by about thirty new players, tlie committee had decided to enter two teams In the banner competition, and though this probably weakened the standard of play, members were no doubt satisfied with the result. The report congratulated Mr. T. Billing on winning the senior championship, and Mr. P. Douglas in his success in the junior division. After referring to members’ participation in various tournaments, the committee also recorded the fact ttat two of the club, Messrs. F. Hill and J. The supfiprt given, however, was so meagre that the centre found they could not carry on with the fixture. There had been absolutely no interest In the competition. GENERAL. A division was taken on the question of whether the principle of sole selector should be continued or whether a selection committee should be appointed. The voting was largely in favour of a sole selector. The secretary was voted an honorarium of £5 5s in recognition of bls services. The donation of £5 5s from the Witlora Golf Club for the purchase of a trophy will be allocated by the incoming committee. Mr. Sole stated that with the advent of the Saturday half-holiday it would not be wise to increase the number of competitions. He thought that the Gilmour Cup would have to be played In conjunction with the banner competition. t , A suggestion to allow the rink trophy to be played for on Sunday mornings If any teams desired, was rejected. A motion was passed recommending the committee to consider the question of paying off remaining' debenture holders, fourteen in number.
