WEDDINGS.

CORBETT—DEIHL. A very pretty wedding of much local interest was solemnised at St. Barnabas Church, Rangiwahia. on Wednesday, June 8, when Myrtle May, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Deihl, of Rangiwahia, was married to Mr. Vernon Corbett, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Corbett, of Okato, by the Rev. McFarland, of Man-' gaweka. The church was artistically decorated by the many friends of the bride, and the service was fully choral, Mr. Janies Martin presiding at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, looked charming in a gown of ivory crepe-de-chine and georgette, the bodice being embroidered with pearls and wide pearl trimming. The skirt, also draped with georgette and pearls, was finished at the bottom with large pearl tassels, which gave it a very pleasing effect. The bride’s veil, which was very handsome, was worn in mob-cab style, with the usual orange blossom, and she carried a beautiful shower bouquet of white chrysanthemums and maiden-hair fern. Miss Ada Deihl, sister of the bride, and Miss Phyllis Corbett, sister of the bridegroom, acted as bridesmaids, and looked very pretty in frocks of apricot crepe-de-chine, and large. Leghorn hats, with trimmings to match. They carried dainty bouquets of chrysanthemums 'and maiden-hair fern. Little Beryl Sibbin, niece of the bride, made a sweet little flower girl. She wore a frock of palepink crepe-de-chine with a dainty hat to match, and carried a basket of flowers. Each bridesmaid wore a pretty pearl brooch, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr. W. Deihl attended the bridegroom as best inan. and Mr. S. Deihl as groomsman. The relatives of the bride.- and ■bridegroom were entertained at the home of the. bride’s parents. After the usual toasts were honored the bride and bridegroom, amid showers of rice and confetti, left by motor for Rotorua, where the honeymoon is to be spent. The bride’s travelling dress was a tailormade costume of sage green serge and a pretty hat to match. The presents were both numerous and costly, including several cheques.
