“BRAN PIE”

AT THE EMPIRE TO-MORROW. The attraction that is likely to produce records is the performance by the New Plymouth Courtiers Costume Comedy Co. of their revue “Bran Pie,” to be staged in the Empire Theatre to-mor-row evening and the two following nights. Booking of seats is at present being eagerly sought after at the box office, and by to-morrow afternoon it is expected that few seats will be left. The production has been looked forward to by the producers (Messrs. A. B. MacDonald and B. Hartman) to excel anything produced of its kind in the Dominion. The principals, orchestra and chorus have been working , hard for months to make the performance a success. The scenery is particularly fine, while the dressing, which the Courtiers have spared no expense over, should be a feature during the season. The Courtiers are leaving no stone unturned to make the first performance to-morrow evening go off without a hitch, and last evening they engaged the Empire for a rehearsal, in which the stage workers put' through their part of setting the scenes. To-night the theatre is engaged for a full dress rehearsal. The box plans are now open at Collier’s music warehouse, where seats may be reserved for 4s (plus tax). Tickets at 3s (plus tax) will be obtainable at the theatre when the doors open at 7 p.m.
