COMPLAINTS OF PRICES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. There has been little or no falling off in the number of complaints of overcharging since the disbandment of the Wellington Prices Investigation Tribunal. The work of making the necessary preliminary investigation into the complaints has been placed in the hands £>f an officer of the Department of Industries and Commerce, and with this exception the cases are dealt with as before. Just at present one of the main subjects under consideration is prices |n suburban districts. WATERSIDER’S LIBEL ACTION. Auckland, June 14. The Supreme Court is occupied in an action for libel for £lOOO damages by Breen, a waterside worker, against the Waterside Federation and others, for file publication of doggerel verses altegfcd to reflect on plaintiff.
