Sir Thomas Mackenzie, speaking Bristol, said New Zealand was Buffering intensely from the past mishandling o; much of her produce, especially wool anf meat. Until men of practical knowledge displaced political appointees thing* would not right themselves. There was a dispute regarding sharing of the profits from wool, Even if there was doubt about each year 3 3 debits and credits being settled annual** ly, the fact remained that the wool coultj have been sold waa held back bigger prices. Therefore it would b 4 unfair to charge New Zealand for losses, arising from speculations by the Imperial authorities. \
