BOXING.
THE ELTHAM TOURNAMENT. Indications point to the boxing tournament that has been arranged by the Eltham Boxing Association, to take place in the Eltham Town Hall on Thursday evening, June 30, being an unqualified success. The latest reports from Wellington and Wanganui are to the effect that Scott and Thomas are in great form, and are both confident of winning their respective bouts. Similar reports come from Lepperton and New Plymouth, where McAsey and Hart are undergoing solid preparation, so that willing “goes’* are assured. Final arrangements have now been made with the amateurs Corliss, of Wanganui, replacing Saltevas, the opponent of Fitzsimmons, of Matapu. Julian Is training hard at El-, tham for his match with Barnes, of Wanganui. A return bout has also been arranged between Humphries, of Eltham, and Hope, of New Plymouth. The former is being trained by O’Neill. The box plan is at Bluett’s, Bridge Street, Eltham, 'phone 241, and enthusiasts who wish to secure seats for that night should book early, as at present the booking is fairly heavy, «tnd a full house is assured.
