AEROPLANE SMASH.
TWO KILLED IN AUSTRALIA. ANOTHER PASSENGER INJURED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn—Copyright. Received June 2, 5.5 p.m. Sydney, June 12. An aeroplane crashed at Gloucester, killing Captain Henry Hawkins, who gained the Military Cross and Legion of Honor and other decorations during the war, and Thomas Laurie, a'passenger. The pilot had ascended about 150 feet, when the engine appeared to cut out and the machine crashed, pinning Laurie and Hawkins underneath. Another passenger named Sheddan was thrown, clear, being only slightly injur-ed.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
