According to a Hankow message mutinous Chinese troops at Wuchang, the capital of the Hupeh province, looted the mint of the Government Bank, torturing the director. They burned hundreds of buildings, and scores are dead. The American Trinity School is sacked. The mutineers resented the Governor’s disbandment plan. Quiet was re-* stored when £13,000 was paid in back wages. Fifty arrests were made.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
