BOARD’S FINANCIAL POSITION. WORKS TO PROCEED. The financial position of the New Plymouth Harbor Board, as affecting the carrying on of the port development scheme, was discussed by members at the monthly meeting yesterday. After a discussion in committee the chairman (Mr. Newton King) reported for publication that the board had decided to continue the works for another two months, and in the meantime enquiries will be made to ascertain if the board can make arrangements for finance to enable them to carry on the loan works.
