PROBABLE FATE OF OMEGA. By T.legr»t>h.—Pr«a Assn.—Copyrlcbt. Melbourne, June 9. All hope for the schooner Omega, which sailed from Hobart for Port Lyttelton on March 3, has been abandoned. It is thought the vessel foundered in a heavy sea after leaving the Tasmanian coast. SHIP STRIKES ICEBERG. New York, June 8. The naval radio station received a distress wirelees meesage stating that a British steamer had struck an iceberg in ipM-Atlantic. It is believed it is the Seapool. , „ later information etates that the Seapool is damaged, but is resuming her course.
