TARANAKI EDUCATION BOARD.

THE MONTHLY MEETING. The Taranaki Education Board met yesterday. Present: Messrs. P. J. H. White (chairman), H. Trimble, S. G. Smith, M.P., H. J. Eaves, R. Masters, M.P., A. Lees, F. Hoskin, and R. J, Deare. TEACHERS’ APPOINTMENTS, ETC. The chairman reported that during the interim he had made the folfowing relieving and temporary appointments:—Mahoe, Miss* H. Cumberworth, assistant; Otakeho, Miss I. Boon, assistant; Te Roti, Miss M. Hodder, assistant; Inglervood, Miss M. Parli. assistant; Tahora, Miss T. Simpson, head teacher: Waikakh, Miss H. Dryden, assistant; Pukengahu, Miss E. F. Leech, assistant; Puniho, Miss P. Murray, head teacher; Punihn, Miss A. Murray, assistant; Egmont Village. Mrs. Patterson, assistant; Tawhiti, Miss P. Nicol!, assistant; Rahotu, ?4iss K. Horner, assistant; Fitzroy, Miss E. Nitz, assistant. The teachers’ selection committee recommended that the following appointments be made: —Waikaka, sole teacher, Miss M. Bradshaw; Tokirima, sole teacher, re-advertise; Pukengahu, head teacher, Mr. F. R. Cornish; Puniho, head teacher, held over; Tahora, head teacher, re-advertise; Egmont Village, assistant, Mrs. E. E. Gibson; Mahoe, assistant, Miss N. Cumberworth; Puniho, assistant, deferred; Pukengahu, assistant, Miss R. Were: Te Roti, assistant, Miss M. Thomson; Otakeho, assistant, re-ad-vertise; Inglewood, fourth assistant, Miss A. F. Leech. Resignations were accepted as follows: H. J. Harford, second assistant, Okato; S. R. Hickey, head teacher, Opuutake; D. C. Mason, assistant, Rahotu; L. 3L Spence, sole teacher. Waiongongora; J. C.
