The trial of tho officials of Farrow’s Bank, which recently suspended payment, has opened. Farrow, Crotch and Hart are charged with conspiracy to defraud. Farrow and Crotch are also charged with publishing false statements of the accounts, and Hart is also charged with aiding and abetting. All pleaded not guilty. The Attorney-General said the bank’s deficiency was at least £2,000,000. It spent £9OOO yearly advertising largely in religious papers that the bank was solvent and prosperous.—Reuter Service.
