It is stated in official circles that Britain will not support the Greeks against the Turks A preliminary understanding with France is essential to a fresh orientation of the policy in Asia Minor. Official circles state the Greek army’s precarious position at Smyrna and the Kemalists’ marked hostility towards the British constitute a serious menace.— United Service. FRANCE STANDS OUT. Paris, June 6. France will not use a single soldier or spend a franc to intervene between Greece and Turkey. It would be an act of folly if Britain and France barked on aU adventure against Turkey.
