WELLINGTON TIMES DEFENDANTS. REV. J. K. ARCHERS CASE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Supreme Court was occupied all day hearing an action for alleged libel, the Rev. J. K. Archer (Christchurch) against the New Zealand Times, a claim for £l5OO damages. The case arose through editorial comment in the Times on the Marxian principles alleged to be held by Mr. Archer, who had been appointed a teacher under the Workers’ Educational Association. The case has not finished.
