COLORADO DISASTER. NEW TROUBLE DEVELOPS. K [ RAILWAYS DISAPPEAR. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright, Received June G, 8.5 p.m. New York, June 6. Pueblo reports state that the beat estimates place the toll of the flood at 150 lives and damage to property worth ten million dollars, but unofficial esti- ‘ mates range from a hundred and three thousand casualties. The flood in the Arkansas River receded on Sunday morning, but rain was falling at Skagway and caused a dam to burst later in the day, though the new flood did not develop seriously. Late in the afternoon, however, a telegraphist at Pueblo sent a message: “Another flood is upon us, we are ordered to quit.” This was the last message received. A courier says the country between Pueblo and Nepesta is a huge lake. Railways and telegraph jjoles have disappeared. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. New York, June 4. It is reported that the death roll owing to the cloud bursts will not exceed 500* and the damage £2,000,000. The floods were caused by the overflooding of the Arkansas mountain rivers. There is six* feet of water in the business section of Pueblo. There were also several dstructive outbreaks of fire. Five thousand are homeless, and railway bridges and much rolling stock gvere washed away. “ A later report states that two ■trains in the Pueblo yards were overturned and many passengers killed and injured.
