Sydney, June 3. Professor Farr and his wife sailed by the Ulimaroa for New Zealand. ‘ NEW PULP FOR PAPER. s Brisbane, June 3. Mr. A. Gibson is applying to the Commonwealth for the right to utilise the nipa palm at the Ely River, New Guinea, for the manufacture of paper pulp. He undertakes to pay a sum of money into any bank as a guarantee and to produce 500 tons of paper weekly and three million gallons of motor spirit yearly. He promises to erect a plant at a. cost of £300,000, also factories and wharves.
