At the King’s Theatre, Stratford, commencing at the matinee at 1.30, Viola Dana’s new Metro special production, “The Chorus Girl’s Romance,” will be screened. This picture is one of the very best that Viola Dana has ever appeared in, it is right up-to-date, spafkling and filled with the joy of perfect youth. The first episode of the Universal serial “King of the Circus,” starring Eddie Polo, will also be screened. Free admittance will be given to the matinee performance to all school children under the age of twelve who are accompanied by their parents. On Monday night only, the new Australian photo-drama, “Silks and Saddles,” starring Miss Brownie Vernon, will be screened. The picture is stated to be -one of surpassing excellence in the character of its plot and its interpretation. There are many stirring scenes, including an actual scene at the big cup meeting at the Randwick course, Sydney. In the latter ie the most thrilling race with the famous racehorses, Kennaquhair and Poitrel, in action. The story works out. to a logical and most pleasing conclusion. The prices for Monday night’s picture will be: D.C. 2s, stalls Is 6d (plus tax). Seats may be booked at Wilson Brothers and stationers, Broadway.
