“BRAN PIE”
NEW PLYMOUTH COURTIERS' COMEDY CO. Never before in local amateur theatrical historjr has greater interest been infused into a theatrical attraction than that being displayed over the coming revue, “Bran Pie,” to be staged by the New Plymouth Courtiers' Costume Comedy Co. iii the Empire Theatre on the nights of June 16, 17, and 18 next. -Bran Pie” abounds in all the necessary materials which go towards the making of a delightful evening’s entertainment. There is. an abundance of musical gems which give the principal members of the company the opportunity to present their singing capabilities; there are a number of pretty and catchy airs, charming melodies, quaint and humorous situations; the humor is pure and wholesome and genuinely funny, the scenery picturesque, and the choruses and orchestral accompaniment are a feature.
The box plans for the season will open at Collier’s music warehouse on Saturday morning next, June 11, at 9 a.m. Country patrons may, have their seats reserved by forwarding postal notes for the amount, and stamped envelope for return tickets. Prices afe 4s (reserved), 3s and 2s (plus amusement tax).
