LORD JELLIGOE A FORESTER. By Tilegtaph.— Press Association. Auckland, June 2. The initiation of Lord Jellicoe as a Forester in the Auckland District Lodge took place in the Town Hall concert clumber last night, delegates being present from southern districts. His Excellency, replying to the greetings, said since becoming a member he had been investigating the society's history and had come to the conclusion that a further reduction of freights is all men.
SOUTH ISLAND DAIRY ASSOCIATION. Dunedin, June 2. The South Island Dairy Association has decided to hold its next meeting at Christchurch and resolved to take into consideration the acquiring of the present Bluff cool stores, or the erection of stores to be owned by the factories, in order that the produce shall remain under control of the association up till the time of shipment.
MINERS’ FEDERATION. Wellington, June 2. The election of the president of the, Miners’ Federation resulted: R. Davidson (Millerton) 1525, P. O’Rourke, past president, 1472.
