BOWLERS IN LONDON.

A PLEASANT VOYAGE. London, April 22. The New Zealand bowlers and their party experienced two extremes of climate. They left Sydney by the Narkunda in a heat wave, and reached Plymouth last Friday in a blizzard, and so were able to celebrate their arrival in the cold Old Country by a snow fight and building a. snow man. They are now installed at the Hotel York, where they will stay for about a fortnight, when they will move on to meet the southern county clubs first, and so get time to become acclimatised. They will then work northward to meet the Scottish bowlers last.

The ladies of the party, the majority of whom have never been in the Old Country, express themselves sis highly pleased with their voyage, the comfort of the boat, and the speed of their trip—they had tc slow down occasionally so as not to be ahead of schedule time. They spent a quiet wfeek-end — ■the weather was not tempting—but on Sunday a number of them went to a service at St. Paul’s. The High Commissioner and Lady Allen are giving a reception in their honor on Wednesday,, the 27th. The ladies who are accompanying the teams are: Mrs. C. Alga-r, of Lyttelton; Mrs. M. Barnett, of Christchurch; Mrs. H. Bray and Miss C. Bray, of Ponsonby, Auckland; Mrs. W. A. Dee, of Nelson; Miss Dixon, of Fendalton, Christchurch; Mrs. G. 8. Gordon, of Wanganui; Mrs. J. N, Johnson, of New Plymouth; Mrs. A. Leslie, of Timanr, Mrs. Pagler, of Auckland; Mrs. R. Rankin, of Mount Eden, Auckland; and Mrs. H. Walton, of Mount Eden..
