The Pall Mall Gazette states that the Admiralty has contracted to sei! to a Sheffield firm 113 obsolete warships at a flat rate of 50s per ton, tototalling approximately £750,000. Th© vessels include, the battleships Dreadnought, Magnificent, Hindustan, Dominion and Mars, six cruisers and six light cruisers. The contract provides that all reasonable stops shall be taken to employ ex-servicemcn and to observe the hours anil wages recognised by employers and trade unions.
