Nine mines were rendered idle on Monday over trivial matters, meaning the loss of 8000 tons, or £9OOO. NEW SOUTH WALES ORCHESTRA. Sydney, May 31. Members of the State orchestra have received notices that their services will be dispensed with from August 31. If the guarantee of £lO,OOO is forthcoming in the interim the .notices will be ineffective.
