DISTRICT NEWS.
KAI MATA. (From Our Own Correspondent.) To mark thg occasion of the approaching marriage of Miss Trudie Burwell with Mr. E. F. Perrott of Suffolk Road, Miss Burwell was the guest of honor at a. kitchen party evening in the Kaimata Hail, where a great, number of her friends assembled. The company indulged in games, vocal items, and dancing, and a very enjoyable tiiine was spent. Rev. R. J. Stanton, on behalf of those present, made the presentation, which consisted of several articles, and in doing so spoke of ti e good qualities of Miss Burwell's work in recent years, concluding by offering their congratulations and good wishes for a very happy life. Mr. Perrott, on behalf of Miss Burwell, suitably responded, thanking the company present for the very useful gifts made. They were not leaving Kaimata, and friends would always find a welcome at their home.
