The cable referred to stated: In consequence of the delayed departure of the South African Rugby Union team, the itinerary is being re-arranged. The secretary of the Rugby Union has written to New Zealand seeking endorsement of the following dates for matches against New South Wales:— June 25, June 27, July 2, and July 9. The team will sail for New Zealand on July 13, and will play the first test match there on July 20.
