The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house under date 25th inst:— Tallow.—We quote present spot values for the following descriptions: Fine mutton, £1 15s 3d per cwt.; good beef, £1 15s 9d per cwt.; mixed, £1 7s 6d per cwt. Fine mutton was neglected. Butter. —There is a small demand for New Zealand. Price unchanged. Cheese.—Colored, £7 Is; White, £6 11s per cwt. Market weak. Frozen mutton.—B 7-8 d to B%d per lb.
