READY TO ACT ALONE. BUT NOT AGAINST ALLIES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright Received May 27, 1.35 p.m. Paris, May 26. The Temps emphasises the importance of the declaration M. Briand mad© in the Chamber that if the Allies were unable to support France militarily, she could act on her own responsibility, that is, without the Allies, but not against them. The Temps says it hopes that Mr. Lloyd George will take the first opportunity of declaring that the British Government adheres to these principles.
